John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Do not be afraid. This statement is said 365 times in the Bible! What a way for us to have a daily reminder that through God there is nothing for us to fear! As Christians we need reminders, reassurance, and comfort; not for a lack of faith but because of our human nature. We can not in our current form understand how mighty our God truly is! He is with every one of us, at all times, everywhere, at the same time. He will never turn his back on us or leave us. God sees and knows everything about everyone at all times. That is a tough thing for us to understand. But one thing that is not tough for us to understand is that by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we will spend eternity in Heaven with God. Just imagine being in Heaven and God saying "Do you remember that day of fishing when you were 8 years old?". I want this, I want to spend this time with my Heavenly Father, I want to see my loved ones again and to embrace them like I have before. I am sure that everyone wants this. Go tell someone today about Jesus. Go tell someone today about Heaven. Go tell someone today about God. Go tell someone today that they do not need to be afraid.
